A friend told me that the best way to interest people in a new project is to tell the story – let people know of the highs and lows, the challenges and opportunities, of creating something new or different.

The story of 3-2-1-Ignition*, the Nottingham pop up shop for creative STEM education is one of building mutual understanding through partnerships. We are immensely grateful to the colleagues from the Nottingham learning network of schools, colleges and universities, and the support network of other organisations with a passionate commitment to STEM education.

And as the famous lines in Shakespeare in Love explain:

Mr. Fennyman, allow me to explain about the theatre business. The natural condition is one of insurmountable obstacles on the road to imminent disaster.

So what do we do?

Nothing. Strangely enough, it all turns out well.

I don’t know. It’s a mystery.

So we are all looking forward to opening ‘night’ – 9.00am on Monday 15 October.
